      Fine example of a Wetherspoon conversion of the former Avion Cinema. Two outside drinking areas, one at the front, one at the rear. Large single bar supplying the usual range of Wetherspoon ales along with many guests. Posters from its former use adorn the walls, including many of George Formby who opened the Cinema in 1938. The Cinema closed in 1967, and the building was then used as a Bingo hall until closure in 2009, following which it remained closed until 2013 and it's conversion by the current owners.       Busy High Street Wetherspoon, this is an impressive conversion of a former cinema. It is themed around Pat Collins, well known in the early 1900s for his fun fairs, presidency of the Showman's Guild, local councillor, mayor of Walsall and MP for the area. Easily accessible by public transport the airy, split-level pub serves up to six real ales including Wetherspoon regulars. It also offers keg craft ales on tap together with a large range of bottled beers. Food is served all day and children are welcome until 10pm.

      The Wheatsheaf dates back to the 16th century and is a five minute walk from the town centre. The welcoming staff at this friendly and traditional feeling pub with a real fire in the colder months. There are two rooms with an island shaped bar in the centre. Sunday lunches are served. Pub games are available, with Darts, Dominoes, Crib and Pool teams based here. Friday/Sunday evenings there's a disco and karaoke. Saturday there is live music ranging from Rock, Irish and Acoustic on the re-built stage. There is an enclosed beer garden.

It is easily accessible by public transport and has ample parking nearby. The interior features library shelves, dining and comfy seating areas, and an airy conservatory. Outside is a large beer garden. Beer festivals feature at least twice a year, with occasional tap takeovers. Entertainments are every Friday and Saturday evenings until late. A changing selection of ales supplements the three regular beers served from 9am and food is served until 11pm. Children are welcome until 9pm.
